Travelling by plane during Covid-19

In fact, it is safer than most of you might think. Planes have some serious air filters installed (called HEPA) which remove at least 99.7% of particles in the air and are similar to those found in operation theatres. They purify the air taking 50% from the outside and 50% from the cabin. In one hour the air in an airplane can change between 20 to 30 times!

In addition, adhering to personal hygiene, wearing a protective mask and having sanitiser in your pocket all make it safer for you to travel.

The seats too protect you from having direct contact with other passengers.

So yes, it is relatively safe to travel by plane during the pandemic.
